The Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences is a participant in the BMBF funding program ‘FH-Personal’ (establishment of a career path leading to an FH professorship) and sees itself as a regional university with close links to industry. Two other important goals are research and knowledge transfer, which also play an increasingly important role in teaching.
The foundation of numerous research institutes and competence centers at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, a growing number of cooperative doctorates and increasing third-party funding are an expression of the research activities.
