Internship Opportunity with GAIN

We are currently accepting applications for a summer internship with the German Academic International Network (GAIN) at the DAAD New York office, starting between May 1 and June 1 to September 15 or 30, 2022.

The internship involves assisting with organizing the 22nd Annual GAIN Conference of international mobile researchers from Germany – the largest forum for PhD students, postdocs, and professors currently researching abroad. A significant portion of the conference consists of a large career fair and workshop program with over 70 institutions from all areas of the German research landscape represented. This year’s conference will take place at the beginning of September in Bonn, Germany.

Duties will entail a wide spectrum of tasks from helping with web site content on www.gain-network.org, social media activity, as well as organizational and planning activities for the annual conference.

We are looking for applicants who

Are fluent in English and have strong German language skills
Have an interest in higher education and science policy
Are highly organized and detail oriented and enjoy being part of a small team
We accept applicants who are interested in a virtual internship as well as an internship in our New York office.

Applicants must have a valid US work permit. We cannot sponsor a visa.

Interns will receive a stipend of $1500/month.
