Einstein Foundation Berlin
The Einstein Foundation is a regional funding agency which acts independently and makes its funding decisions based on scientific quality and merit evaluated in a multi-tiered review process. Applications for fellowships, position, projects or research centers can be submitted by the four Berlin universities or the Charité hospital, and enable these instiutions to attract excellent reseachers and scientists from all over the world and from all disciplines. The Einstein Foundation supports these applications by public and/or private funds once they have been positively reviewed. It thereby helps to advance Berlin’s international standing in research and promotes excellent research in the German capital. The Einstein Foundation offers several funding programmes, among them “Einstein Starting Researchers” which allows international postdocs to work on their own project or with their own (small) group at one of the Berlin universities or the Charité.
