Goethe University Frankfurt is a top research university in Germany, operating at a leading international level in numerous research fields, e.g. medicine, life sciences, and the humanities. Together with JGU Mainz and TU Darmstadt, we form the strategic Rhine-Main University Alliance, and cooperate with research institutions and partner universities worldwide.
Our Goethe Research Academy for Early Career Researchers (GRADE) serves as the first point of contact and advice for ECRs at all career stages (R1-R3). It offers a wide range of measures for professional qualification, coaching, networking, internationalisation and financial support to prepare ECRs for multiple career paths and to promote their early academic independence. The central Research Support advises on national and international funding opportunities and provides support during the application phase. Specific R3 support is available within the interdisciplinary Johanna Quandt Young Academy (JQYA).
