Hochschulen für Angewandte Wissenschaften Baden-Württemberg e.V. (HAW BW e.V.) is an association of 21 state-run and three church-run universities of applied sciences (UAS) in Baden-Württemberg. It promotes and structures collaboration among these universities, respresenting their shared interests in public and political contexts. As an umbrella organization, it contributes to strengthening science, studies, teaching, research and continuing education within society and at its member universities. This is achieved through close coordination and cooperation with the university management. In its role as an advocacy group, HAW BW e.V. represents the interests of UAS in Baden-Württemberg vis-à-vis state and federal governments, as well as other decision-makers, interest groups, funding providers and the employment system of UAS graduates.
